Are you in a managerial role at work, but aren’t sure if your boss skills are up to par? Here are some questions that you need to ask yourself to figure out the truth:
- Have you clearly defined the vision for success? The sign of a great leader is one that not only dictates the strategy that will be used to achieve success, but also works with the team members to formulate the strategy. So instead of sending out a memo, invite everyone for a meeting to come up with a strategy together.
- Do you improve the success of those around you? A great leader is able to get the best out of their employees. Work one-on-one with each employee to identify their strength/weakness to get the most out of them.
- Can you spot great work? You must keep an eye on the work that is completed to spot great work. Consequently, it should be rewarded, and then increase the responsibilities that are given to the employee. This improves employee engagement, motivation, and morale.
